    Hi,

    I have quite a bit of information in my search form. I would like to display the infos in two columns (desktop only), so it does not get too long. Any ideas how to do that?

    Thanks,
    bye, Jessica

    Hi Jessica,

    A BP Profile Search form is displayed by a form template, the default one is bps-form-default.php, and you (or your developer) can modify the form template to suit your needs.

    I am a programmer, and I’m not familiar with CSS or visual design, so I can’t offer specific advice, but you can find additional information in:

    Hi Andrea,

    thank you a lot for your reply, I will look into that!

    Another question: is it possible to remove some of the choices?
    For example: we have the field “role” and when registering, the user can choose between two options and “other”. For the search we would like to not display the choice “other”, because it does not really make sense to search for this.
    Can we hide this in some way?

    Thanks in advance,
    bye Jessica

    Yes, you can add this code to your bp-custom.php:

    add_action ('bps_field_before_search_form', 'remove_option');
    function remove_option ($f)
    {
    	if ($f->code == 'field_75')
    	{
    		unset ($f->options['other']);
    	}
    }

    Replace 75 with the actual ID of your “role” field.
