Hi Andrea,
I am wondering about the Image field in the Profile Fields plugin, I am using this form in the sign up form with the intention to upload a profile picture at sign up.
The field is there in sign up form, “upload image”, but that image doesn’t show up anywhere in the user profile, let alone profile photo.
Do you know how to fix this?

I guess you are using the Image field type provided by BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types.
That field type allows users to upload an image that will be displayed in their profile, but not as their profile photo.
After registration, your users will be able to upload their profile photo and cover image in their profile, if you enabled the relevant options in Settings -> BuddyPress -> Options.

Yes, I realised that the plugin is not even yours, sorry. And also that you’re right, users can edit profile photo afterwards.Would you be interested in coding something to me so content uploaded the image field at sign up goes to profile photo? 🙂
Hi Clara,
I think there is a reason why users can’t upload profile photos before their registration is accepted.
If you allow that, anyone, including spammers, could upload huge images to your server, taking up all of its resources. Probably not a good idea!
