BP Profile Search › Members don't appear in search results

Not sure if this is expected behaviour but we’re finding that members don’t appear in search results unless they have logged into their profile at least once. For our use case, this isn’t always necessary. Is the plugin designed to do this?

I’ve discovered that this is actually a BuddyPress / BuddyBoss behaviour and that BP waits for an entry into the last_activity meta before adding a member to the directory.

Hi Gary,
By default, the BuddyPress members directory shows only active members, and that applies to search results too. To see all members, users can select Order By: Alphabetical.
You may want to change the BuddyPress default sorting to Alphabetical, but I don’t know if that’s possible. If you are interested, you can try a Google search such as:
https://www.google.com/search?q=buddypress+force+alphabetical+sort+in+members+directory
