Thanks for your suggestion about freelancer, I was able to add what I needed to the plugin!

But I have one more question, how can I protect the changes made to the plugin from any plugin update?

I’ve tried to create a directory in my child theme :
mysite.com/wp-content/themes/child-theme/bp-profile-search
and add the changes there but it doesn’t work.

I’ve also tried to create a plugin directory in my child theme and add the bp-profile-search there, but it didn’t work either.

Do you have any suggestion?

Hey Andrea,

I’d followed your advise, but with all the changes around (your plugin, wordpress, buddypress etc), the plugin was not working anymore.
So I updated your plugin, keeping my changes (to have a search on location radius). Unfortunately, it doesn’t work anymore, at all. I think it’s because you might have changed function names and other things that make it now incompatible.
Would you be interested in having the change for location radius that was made a few months ago for me, and see if you could incorporate it to your newest plugin version? That would be super helpful for me, and perhaps it’s advantageous for you too?
