I’m using BP Profile Search together with Paid Memberships Pro and the BuddyPress & BuddyBoss Add-On.

I’ve encountered an issue where, when the BuddyPress & BuddyBoss Add-On is enabled, performing a search that should return no matching results instead displays all BuddyPress member profiles — as if no filters were applied at all.

However, when I disable the BuddyPress & BuddyBoss Add-On, the same search correctly returns a “No members matched your criteria” message.

It seems like the add-on changes how empty or null search results are handled and causes BP Profile Search to default to showing all users.

My questions:

Is this a known issue or intended behavior when the BuddyPress & BuddyBoss Add-On is active?

Is there a way to prevent BP Profile Search from displaying all profiles when no match is found — and instead show the usual “No results” message?

Is there a workaround (e.g. a hook or filter) to restore the correct behavior while keeping the add-on enabled?

This thread is very old. There is a new version of their plugin version 1.5.1 out . A few things have been already fixed there. But it wont work in this most recent combination. I think its good to take a code review and to correct it in the most recent code. Therefore i need support or some input to understand it.
