    Hi Andrea,

I just want to make sure that when the user input his location (with the use of Google Maps API) on the BP Distance Search, he uses and chooses his input based on the Google Maps autocomplete recommendations.

I tried doing, say for example, inputting just “Bangkok” and then saved it without choosing any thing of the Google autocomplete recommendations, and it’s fine.

So is it possible that when a user does not choose on the Google autocomplete recommendations, it would give him an error? So he would be prompted to complete the field using the Google autocomplete recommendations instead.

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your report! I’ll need to research a solution, and I’ll keep you informed.

    Thank you, Andrea.

Also, maybe you can also add a feature where a snippet of a map (zoom is adjustable) will show up when the location is provided?

Or I’m not sure if there is a coding you already know for that.

It would be a great additional feature!

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

Adding a map is not easy (for me) and at the moment I have no plans to add a map to BP Distance Search.

Anyway if you need a map you can try replacing BP Distance Search with GEO my WordPress or BP Maps for Members. Both plugins offer a Google autocomplete location field, and support searching by distance with BP Profile Search.
