GuestHey there, first off great plugin! Thanks!
Quick question: is there anything we can do about an error we get when hitting the back button after viewing a member page from a search. Firefox and Chrome results on an error page with “Document Expired” or “Confirm Form Resubmission” and Safari warns “Are you sure you want to send a form again?”
Thanks for your help!

Plugin AuthorHello xmg,
That’s a browser warning to prevent unwanted form re-submissions. In our case we would simply re-submit a search request, so no problem, but the warning message is a distraction anyway.
I don’t know if there is a way to suppress the browser warning altogether, but I wouldn’t recommend it because that message can be very useful in other cases.
To go back to the search results without getting the warning, there are two possible ways:
1. Click the Members directory page in the menu. You go back to the first page of your search results, exactly what you get using the back button but without the warning.
2. View the individual member pages using a right-click and selecting Open link in new tab. This way you don’t lose your search results, whatever the results page you are in.

GuestThanks so much!
I’ve found an alternative solution thx to your plugin by using Form Method GET instead of POST. This seems to work with all browsers I’ve tested so far and allows going back without a warning.
Thx for a great plugin and including both get and post methods – really appreciated!
PS: just curious: is there a special character combo with GET method that I could search by the first letter? For example: to search with first names that start with letter A. Thank you again!

GuestOnce again, your plugin to the rescue:
I chose “is like” for the “Name” search mode and searched for a% and b% etc. and listed the first name starting with a, or b, or c, etc.
Loving this plugin!

GuestHi Andrea,
Hope you don’t mind one more question: would you have any tips on a way to display a dynamic “Clear” link to the widget and shortcode searches only if there is a cached search term?
andrea
Plugin AuthorYou can add this code to the form templates:
if (!empty (bps_get_request()) && !bps_active_form('clear')) { ?> <a href='?bp_profile_search=clear'>Clear Search</a> <?php }I’ll add it too in the next plugin release.

GuestHello:
Nice plugin, does a good job.
BUTT QUESTION:
After a search is done and the results are shown, the user then clicks on a profile to view the user info.Is there anyway to do a next and previous search profile from the details page?
In am using the SweetDate theme and they show ‘<‘ and ‘>’ BUTT these links simply go to the next and previous profile in the FULL membmers directory, not as a result of the search?

Plugin AuthorHello Steve,
The left and right arrows are a SweetDate feature, and probably the SweetDate developers are the most suitable to improve that feature. I suggest you ask the SweetDate team about this enhancement.
