I am using the companion plugin distance search. On registration I am using my own register page which checks if the address field contains a town name or just a country name cause I need the town to locate users. But this only works on registration.

If a user changes his address at the buddypress profile settings this field has no checks if the user has entered just a country and not a town name. Then the country is saved but for distance search I need the town name. By the way the user also could enter just a street name, then pick one from the list but reduce that line to just the street name again and save it so the street name is saved without a town name. In both cases no town name is saved and therefore wrong coordinates for the user.

If I would implement both checks I would need to modify the core of your plugin (PHP and JS) with the result losing the update functionality.

So would it be possible for you to implement those checks to the core? If you like I can send you my changes and you can see if this works for you and roll it out if so.
