GuestHello Plugin Developer,
I have a issue that some users can’t be find via the search. I checked the user profile and everything seems fine. I also compared the user profile with users which show up in the search and they have the same details.
Can I give you my login and you check the plugin?
thank you,
Hannesandrea

Plugin AuthorHello Hannes,
If you look at your user’s profile, you can see in the header the text ‘Not recently active’.
This means that the user is not present in the directory and therefore is not found by a search.
To remedy that, the user needs to login at least once, so he will be back in the members directory.

GuestHI, thank you for the feedback.
Is that an new feature of your plugin? I didnt have that issue before.In case no, could you release in an update an option to disable that feature?
Thank you,
Hannesandrea
Plugin AuthorHi Hannes,
Inactive members are not listed in the members directory, unless you select ‘Order By: Alphabetical’. That’s a very old BuddyPress feature, independent of BP Profile Search.
The ‘Order By’ drop-down is missing from your theme, so there is no way to show inactive members. You probably haven’t noticed this before, or probably the user activity information was lost during export / import procedures.
You can fix that easily if you tell the inactive user to login once, or you can login once in the inactive user’s place with the User Switching plugin.

GuestHello, my customer has a few hundreds users and we can’t tell everyone to login. Also, we create accounts in advance before a user starts to work in the company.. thats makes process also more difficult.
Is there no other way to display all members?
andrea
Plugin AuthorYes, you can force your BuddyPress template to show all your members in alphabetical order. Open:
buddypress/bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/members/members-loop.php
then locate the line:
<?php if ( bp_has_members( bp_ajax_querystring( 'members' ) ) ) : ?>and replace it with:
<?php if ( bp_has_members( bp_ajax_querystring( 'members' ). '&type=alphabetical' ) ) : ?> -
