    Hi

    I would appreciate if you please help with this issue,

    I have 2 members type . student and tutor
    I want BP Profile Search to search on tutor (members) only
    I used the below
    [bps_directory field_xy=”text to find”]
    in my case i do not have field_id ( only value ) the id(bp_member_type) please see link below

    However, Filter types for fields containing text:
    [bps_directory field_154=”Tutor”]
    unfortunate it is not working , I’ve tried many possibilities with out success

    Hi Eamon,

    You can add a hidden filter on member type using this shortcode:

    [bps_directory bp_member_type=Tutor]

    The documentation doesn’t explain that yet, but you were on the right track.
