Change text search to dropdown select

Hello,

On my site, I post a directory with the collaborators. I would like to be able to search by workplace. And so I would have to change the search field (text field) to a multiple selection field. How do I do that?

Hi Malik,

Unfortunately that’s not possible, unless you change the BuddyPress profile field type to drop-down. But probably this is not what you want?

Thanks for the answer. I change the BuddyPress profile field type to drop-down, and it works.
But….
The profile fields are connected to my society’s active directory with the Next Active Directory Integration plugin.

Is that possible to auto implement my search dropdown profile file with the wordpress attribute in order not to have to update it manually ???

Hi Malik,

Yes, the downside is that you have to manually update the drop-down profile field.

If the options are too many or change frequently that’s not easy, but with the current plugin version I can’t think of a better solution. Sorry!
